GRANT COUNTY SANITATION & ZONING
June 27, 2013 Meeting
The County Planning & Zoning & Sanitation meeting was called to order on June 27, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman
Lester Jantzen in the Grant County Board room of the Administration Building, 111 S. Jefferson St, Lancaster.
Zoning & Sanitation Board members present Lester Jantzen, Dwight Nelson, Roger Guthrie, Bob Keeney, and Grant Loy,
excused absent Dale Hood. Absent Pat Schroeder
Grant Loy made a motion to approve the amended agenda, seconded Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the May 16, 2013 minutes, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion carried.
Comprehensive Map Changes: none
Rezone: none
Conditional Use Permit: none
Transferring money from the Zoning/Sanitation to the IT for part time office assistant.
Bob Keeney made a motion to transfer the part time money to the IT for office assistant person, seconded by Grant Loy.
Wipfli study discussion:
Linda Schweikert asked the board member what they thought on the Wipfli study. Discussion on pay scale of the
employees as a whole was discussed.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to go into close session under 19.85(1) (c) seconded by Grant Loy. Roll call vote was
taken and 5 in favor. Motion carried.
Roger Guthrie made a motion to come out of close session and add to the close session under 19.85 (1) (c) to the Land &
Water Conservation agenda, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
The Job title for the Conservationist & Zoning/Sanitation is Administrator of what the Board decided.
Bob Keeney made a motion to approve the job description made for the Administrator of Conservation/Zoning/Sanitation,
seconded by Dwight Nelson. Motion carried.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the wage for the Administrator for the Conservation/Zoning/Sanitation office,
seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Sanitary Permit Summary:
Dwight Nelson made a motion to approve the Sanitary Permit Summary, seconded by Bob Keeney. Motion carried.
Outstanding Orders/Compliance:
Roger Guthrie made a motion to approve the Outstanding Orders, seconded by Lester Jantzen. Motion carried.
Bill & Vouchers:
Bob Keeney made a motion to approve the Outstanding Orders, seconded by Grant Loy. Motion carried.
Dwight Nelson made a motion to adjourn the meeting until July 25, 2013, seconded by Roger Guthrie. Motion carried.
