The regular quarterly Grant County Traffic Safety Commission Meeting was called to order by
Captain Rick Place at 1:00 p.m. The following Traffic Safety Commission members and guests
were present:

Confirmation of Open Meeting Law: The agenda was posted in the lobby at the Community
Services Building, the Administration Building and on the Grant County website.
Adoption of Agenda: The agenda was approved in motions by Jeff Kindrai and second by Justin
McLimans. The minutes from the previous meeting were approved in motions by Judy Hazen
and second by Sheriff Nate Dreckman. Motions carried.
The state statistics were reviewed and discussed.
New Business: No New Business to discuss at this time.
Old Business: The County Board approved 21 out of the 23 ATV/UTV routes that were
requested. The routes are now in the paperwork process.
Citizen Complaints: There are no citizen complaints to discuss at this time.
Other Business: No Other Business to discuss at this time.
The county statistics were reviewed and discussed. The fatal accidents for this quarter were
discussed. The intersection at Hwy 18 and Bethel Road has had a significant numbers of
accidents within the last five years. There may be need for a roundabout in that area. There
was also a fatal accident on Hwy 61 between Boscobel and Fennimore. There is a project in the
future for rumble strips on that highway.
It was motioned by Jeff Kindrai and seconded by Justin McLimans to adjourn to November 16 at
1:00 pm. Motion carried.
