Discussion and possible action on allocation of Opioid Litigation funds: Christy Johnston from SWCAP was present inquiring how she can receive funding. Christy would like funding assistance with printing of marketing materials with a cost of $357 and website continuation with a cost of $7,200. The grant that currently takes care of the website will be ending in June. Holly Knapp, second by Carol Beals made a motion to authorize reimbursement of the request of up to $7,200 for the Network of Care in 2024. Motion carried by voice vote. The expectation is that they need to exhaust all funding streams before coming to the Task Force for final approval. The Task Force has not created a mechanism as to how or when organizations apply for funding. The County Board directed the Task Force to prioritize spending options for the settlement funding. Does a monetary value, percentage of the funding and relation to opioids need to be a part of the application process? The rules state what the funding can be used for and should be included in the decision making process. The Task Force does need to give an update to the County Board on the progress. Adjournment: Robert Keeney adjourned the meeting at 2:28 p.m.
