Board Minutes
February 19, 2025
The meeting was called to order by Committee Chair Gary Kjos at 9:00 a.m.
Attendance: Vicki Hirsch, Mark Stead, Lori Reid, Lester Jantzen, Gary Kjos, Valerie Bailey, Kathy
Kopp, Robert Keeney
Others Present:
Compliance with Open Meeting Law:
It was noted the meeting is in compliance with the open meeting act. (Published via website, radio,
newspaper and posted at the Grant County Administration Building and CSB).
Agenda Approval:
Jantzen/Bailey: Motion to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried.
Approval of Minutes: January 15, 2025
Bailey/Kopp: Motion to approve the January 15, 2025 minutes. Motion carried.
Public Comment/Communication: None
Advocacy Reports or Activities
ADRC Regional Board Mtg. Report
o Jantzen stated meeting would be on the 27th.
o Reid went over upcoming events.
Title VI Plan: Reid stated the plan has not been returned to her yet.
ADRC Restructure Plan
Reid explained that she met with the County Administrator and Human Resources manager and
they both approved the ADRC restructure plan. She stated that the plan required Executive
Committee and Grant County Board approval because it was proposed to change the ADRC
Supervisor to ADRC Coordinator and this was a new position. Both of these entities met before the
ADRC Committee. The ADRC Coordinator will provide some supervision but also Information and
Assistance. ADRC will hire another I&A, move NFCSP and AFCSP to Aging Programs Coordinator and
make that position full time. Accounts receivables and payables and other similar duties will move
to Admin I who will be promoted to Admin II. Reid noted that the restructure plan was approved by
the Executive Committee and the County Board.
Stead/Hirsch: Motion to approve ADRC restructure plan. Motion carried.
Approval of Vouchers
Kopp/Bailey: Motion to approve vouchers. Motion carried.
Financial Report
Reid reviewed 2024 ADRC budget. No action was needed. Reid noted that the other budget was
also 2024 and not 2025. No action was taken.
Reports
ADRC – Grant County Director’s Report
Reid presented written report which included the following:
AARP taxes underway
DOT reports completed
Peerplace training continuing
Reid participated in UW Research interview on the COVID-19 pandemic impact.
Trualta is a new free education platform for caregivers.
Caregiver Support group revamped.
ADPAW EOY report
ADRC – Programs Report
Reid discussed programs. No report is available yet due to the new database.
Stead/Hirsch: Motion to adjourn. Motion carried.
