EDUCATION/FAIR COMMITTEE MEETING

8:00 a.m.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Roger Guthrie. Present in addition to Guthrie were Joe
Mumm, Kathy Kopp, Gary Northouse, Mike Timmerman, Bob Keeney, Nate Dreckman, Amy Olson,
Lori Vesperman, Charisse Orth, Todd Miller, Justin McLimans, Steve Braun, Vince Heiman, Gabby
Heiman, Pat Schroeder was excused.
The meeting notice was posted at the Administration Building, Extension Office and Youth & Ag Center
and media by Amy Olson.
Motion by Gary Northouse, seconded by Joe Mumm, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Motion by Kathy Kopp, seconded by Mike Timmerman, to approve minutes of the July 28 and July 31,
2025, meetings. Motion carried.
Wepking Pump Service was called regarding the water leak in the same spot as last year.
Policing – no issues. Signs will be put out to keep beer in the beer garden.
Steve Braun said there were two medical calls. Weather report is good.
Judging - no known issues.
Exhibits/exhibitors – six more spaces were needed for junior class beef.
Entertainment – Discussion was held on entertainment and needs for events. EMS for Supercross is set.
Food for the grandstand was discussed.
Carnival - Vince reported on the carnival and turned the financial statement in from Wednesday.
Recess until Friday at 8:00 a.m. Motion carried.
