HomeMy WebLinkAbout11 Minutes-November 20, 2025 HIGHWAY COMMITTEE MEETING November 20, 2025 The Highway Committee met on Thursday November 20, 2025 at 9:00 am, at the County Highway Department in Lancaster, WI., this meeting was also available via zoom. Members present were Gary Northouse, Patrick Schroeder, Roger Guthrie, Diane Nelson and Lester Jantzen. Others present were Nate Dreckman, Bob Keeney, Jon Knautz (left the meeting early), Shane Drinkwater, Travis Kramer, Trenton Wood, Steve Morgan, Jason Kieler and Donna Bohnenkamp. Notice of the meeting was sent to the Herald Independent, Administration Building, posted at the Highway Department and on the Grant County web site. Gary Northouse called the November 20th Highway Committee meeting to order. Agenda: Lester Jantzen, seconded by Diane Nelson moved to approve the November 20th agenda. Motion carried without negative vote. Minutes: Roger Guthrie, seconded by Pat Schroeder moved to approve the minutes from the October 16th Highway Committee Meeting. Motion carried without negative vote. Check Listing: Pat Schroder, seconded by Diane Nelson, moved to approve the October Check Listing report as printed. Motion carried without negative vote. August and September Requisitions have been turned into the state; as of the end of September we are roughly $5,137.28 over the estimated monthly budget The county accounts we also reviewed. The County has received all their seasonal salt. The crew has been delivering salt to various townships, wedging for various townships and did a culvert project for North Lancaster Township. The County has also calibrated all the County section trucks. The State has finished mowing, finished putting up snow fence, and have calibrated their section patrol trucks. Steve informed the committee he used a piece of equipment from another County to jack up concrete in a couple of spots, which made the ride much smoother. The shop has been calibrating the section trucks, and preparing our semi to be the new attenuator. The mechanics are preparing equipment for winter use. Travis gave an update on the Patch Grove Salt shed progression and the “Q” bridge bid. Travis presented the Rural Functional Classification Resolution. Lester Jantzen, seconded by Roger Guthrie moved to approve the Rural Functional Classification Resolution. Motion Carried without negative vote. There was a recent employee resignation; therefore, we will begin the hiring process a patrolman. We currently have one guy working on getting his CDL. Roger Guthrie seconded by Lester Jantzen made a motion to adjourn to Thursday November 20, 2025, at 9:00 am. Motion carried. Diane Nelson, Secretary Donna Bohnenkamp, Recorder
