Spring Primary
February 21, 2025
The Grant County Canvass for the February 18, 2025 election was held on Friday, February 21, 2025 in
Lancaster, WI at the Administration Building in the first floor conference room.
Members present: Karla Schwantes, Chantel Hampton, Julie Durst and Tonya White.
All the totals were verified. The Federal/State Office Certification report was signed Friday, February 21,
2025 by all the canvassers and sent to the Wisconsin Election Commission at elections.canvass@wi.gov
and a hard copy was sent by mail to the Wisconsin Election Commission.
Some incidents that were noted during the County Canvass were:
It was determined that if any write in ovals were marked, but no name was written in those scattering
would not count.
1. T. Bloomington did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
2. T. Boscobel did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
3. T. Cassville did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
4. T. Fennimore did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
5. T. Harrison did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in. Write in
total adjusted.
6. T. Jamestown did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
7. T. Lima did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
8. T. Marion did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
9. T. Mount Hope did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
10. T. Muscoda did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
11. T. North Lancaster did not include a complete tape.
12. T. Paris did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
13. T. Patch Grove did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
14. T. Platteville Ward 1 & 2 two voters were given the wrong ballot. Ward 2 did not have a tape in
the official envelope.
15. T. South Lancaster did not include a complete tape.
16. T. Woodman did not fill out the front page of the poll book
17. T. Wyalusing did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
18. V. Blue River did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
19. V. Hazel Green did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.
20. V. Mount Hope did not fully fill out the tally sheet. Total number of voters was not filled in.

number adjusted.
The Board of Canvass also did machine audits on two randomly picked municipalities. Town of Clifton
and Town of Glen Haven. Both audits matched the machine tapes.
